Panelists

Here are the panelists who will be appearing on stage with me to share their inspiring careers, lives and choices with you: I've selected these Women on Fire so you will have the opportunity to meet them in person and to hear about how each is living her dream, how she finds inspiration and how she continues to work through her own unique struggles.

It is my pleasure to introduce you to:

Debi Lilly

Debi Lilly is the founder and president of A Perfect Event and is a nationally recognized, celebrity entertaining and design expert. A Perfect Event is Chicago’s most successful special event company with a faithful (and famous) following, including Oprah Winfrey.

An Ohio State University graduate, Debi is committed to the personalization of every event her company designs -- from Oprah’s 50th birthday party (and her many appearances on the show) to the wedding of Heather Headley, the award-winning singer, song-writer and Broadway actress.

In addition to her regular media appearances and mentions, Debi has served as a national spokeswoman for Pampered Chef and also created an exclusive line of floral designs for Safeway stores across the country. A born-and-bred “hostess,” Debi has planned events both large and small since she was in elementary school! She lives her dream while balancing her demanding career and growing family as a wife and mother of two young children.

Mary Ellen Jones

Mary Ellen Jones is a producer, director and writer. She has produced more than 20 network pilots and nine television series for various networks, studios and production companies including: Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Moesha and the Wayans Bros.

MEJ, as she is affectionately called, is also a co-author of our award-winning book Women on Fire: 20 Successful Women Share Their Life Secrets (and Save You Years of Struggle!). In it, she shares her secret to finding love "way past 40" and how she created a brand new life far from the Hollywood Hills -- on a farm in Michigan with the love of her life!

She also created a large network of Women on Fire in Michigan and hosts our teas there. MEJ is working on a book about her experiences as a Hollywood producer.

Elizabeth Lessner

Elizabeth Lessner is the CEO/Founder of the Columbus Food League that includes Betty's Fine Food and Spirits, The Surly Girl Saloon, Tip Top Kitchen and Cocktails, Dirty Frank's Hot Dog Palace and the Jury Room. Elizabeth's restaurants have received local, regional and national attention for their green initiatives and creative food.

Liz is also co-owner and vice president of Eartha Limited, a restaurant recycling and hauling company specializing in greening Central Ohio restaurants.

A social entrepreneur actively engaged in green initiatives, downtown development and community affairs, she serves on the board and is past president of the Central Ohio Restaurant Association. Responsible small business, community building, mentoring and social entrepreneurship are her passions. Liz's authentic, warm and engaging way will lift your spirits and give you hope for your own dreams.
